Anyway in this post i will show you How You Can Install Android OS on PC or Laptop. So if you haven’t tried android before or if you are not acquainted with Android and it’s features or functionalities then go ahead and install it on your pc to see how the most talked Android OS looks like and what are it’s features . So now lets proceed to the methods you can use to install Android OS on your PC . There are two methods you can use to Install Android OS on PC i.e one by using USB (Flash drive) and other by using Virtual Machine (Vmware player or Oracle Virtual Box).
First of all download an ISO file of an Android OS from Android-X86 (You will be needing this in both the methods).Download it according to your requirement i.e according to your framework of your PC or Laptop. See the below picture :
Step 1 : Download an Unetbootin (Universal Netboot Installer) . It is available for all the major Operating system as i am on windows i have downloaded the windows version of it .
Step 2 : Now open the unetbootin and Browse and Locate your Android iso image file and Select your Flash Drive . My flash drive is attached to drive ‘H’. So i have selected that. After selecting your Flash drive Letter just Hit OK.
After you click OK it will start unmounting the android OS from ISO file to your flash drive .
Step 3 : After transfer finishes you will be prompted for Reboot . Go ahead and reboot your PC or Laptop . But you have to boot from USB to make this work . To do that , While the booting starts again go to your BIOS Setup pressing F2 and then go to Boot Setup and change the device to Removable devices and save the changes . Your PC will boot again and this time it will boot from flash drive with Android OS .
2. Install Android OS on PC using Virtual Machine
Step 1 : Download a virtual Machine preferably a Vmware Player or you can also use a Oracle virtual box they both are free to use and works the same. I am using a Vmware workstation .Anyway go ahead and install it , open it up and Go to File > New > Virtual Machine to create a new virtual machine .
Step 2 : Choose a Typical Configuration and click next . Proceed with the Installation guide as shown below in the pictures . Leave everything as Default . But If you want you can change it though like disk space , number of processor,Memory etc . There is no issue if you don’t change it .
Step 3 : Click On finish after you done with the default setup process. Now turn on your virtual machine and Run Android without Installation as shown below . And you are Done
