We love to click more and more photos and share with our near and dears. Those photos may come from our point-and-shoot camera, dSLR, or our smartphones. These photos contain some hidden data. The data like the model of the camera and settings used in the shot won’t be harmful to us but the data like GPS data, which could reveal where we live, work or where our kids go to school we might want to give a limitation to its sharing for our safety.
Now we can share safely by making a scrubbed copy and we will keep all the data intact. It can be done in windows without any additional software. But there is a drawback that is not all the version of windows support the removal of metadata from photos.Metanull is a small program which will remove all the hidden data from a photo which works on Windows XP and later on.
Firs of all download the latest version copy of Metanull. Now you need to double-click on the executable to launch it.Now choose photos you want to scrub. You can select single photo or multiple photos or a folder containing a number of photos to scrub at a time. Now select a destination folder to save the scrubbed copies of the photos. If everything is set to proceed with the data removal, click on the “Null it!” button.
That’s it. Now you can feel free to share your photos with hidden data removed, while maintaining a personal copy with the data preserved.
